Gaming Pinas Visits BenQ Taiwan During Computex 2026

Inside BenQ Taiwan: AI-Powered Displays, Esports Innovation, and the Future of Gaming

On June 3, Gaming Pinas joined guests and partners for an exclusive tour of BenQ Taiwan Headquarters, where the company showcased its latest gaming monitors, esports gear, professional displays, and AI-powered technologies ahead of Computex Taiwan 2026.

Among PC gamers, BenQ’s ZOWIE brand has long been regarded as a tournament staple. Whether at competitive gaming cafés or local esports events, ZOWIE monitors are often the displays of choice thanks to their focus on competitive performance and player-focused features. With AI-powered monitor tuning, 600Hz displays, and new esports innovations on the horizon, the tour offered a glimpse into what could eventually make its way into the setups of Filipino gamers.

Hosted by Nico Lucero, Marketing for Emerging Markets at BenQ Taiwan, the event also highlighted BenQ’s continued focus on display technology and color performance, the foundation behind many of its latest innovations.

A Company Built Around Display and Color

The day began with an introduction to BenQ’s philosophy and product development approach. According to the company, display technology and color science remain at the center of everything it creates.

Throughout the presentations, BenQ repeatedly emphasized its commitment to color accuracy, an area that has become increasingly important as displays are now used across gaming, content creation, productivity, education, and entertainment.

The company also highlighted Taiwan’s position as one of the world’s leading technology hubs, particularly in semiconductor and display-related industries, which continues to support innovation across its product lineup.

Closing the Color Gap Between Macbooks and Monitors

One of the first products showcased during the tour was the BenQ MA Series, a monitor lineup designed specifically for MacBook users.

According to BenQ, its research found that many MacBook owners connect their devices to external displays, but often encounter color inconsistencies between their laptop screens and third-party monitors. To solve this problem, the company developed the MA Series.

Available in 27-inch and 32-inch variants, the monitors feature glossy panels that more closely resemble the look and feel of a MacBook display. BenQ also highlighted its Display Pilot 2 software and Display Color Sync technology, which help match colors between MacBooks and external monitors for a more seamless viewing experience.

The company showcased the MA270S, a 5K monitor aimed at users who want additional screen space and sharper visuals without sacrificing color accuracy.

Gaming Monitors That Adapt to the Game

Gaming remained one of the biggest focuses of the tour, with BenQ showcasing its EX Series gaming monitors and AI-powered display technologies.

During side-by-side demonstrations, the company highlighted how its monitors deliver better shadow detail and color performance, making it easier to spot objects hidden in darker scenes.

BenQ also introduced Color Shuttle, a software platform that lets users switch between display profiles tailored for different games. Paired with AI-powered scene analysis, the software can recommend monitor settings based on the game being played, helping users find their ideal setup with less trial and error.

Rather than replacing player skill, BenQ’s approach is to use AI as a tool that simplifies settings management and enhances the overall gaming experience.

A Smarter Way to Light Your Setup

Beyond monitors, BenQ also showcased its latest asymmetrical lighting technologies.

Its third-generation asymmetrical lighting solutions are designed to reduce common lighting issues encountered in desktop setups, including direct glare, reflected glare, and contrast glare. By directing light only where it is needed, the system helps improve workspace visibility without introducing distracting reflections on the monitor.

The company sees this as another example of how user comfort influences product design decisions across its ecosystem.

Why ZOWIE Still Bets on TN Panels

For esports enthusiasts, BenQ’s ZOWIE division offered some of the most interesting insights of the day. The company’s philosophy is simple: hardware should never become a bottleneck to player performance.

One topic that stood out was ZOWIE’s continued use of TN panels in certain esports monitors. While OLED displays continue to gain popularity, BenQ explained that many professional players still prioritize motion clarity, responsiveness, and target visibility during fast-paced gameplay. Technologies such as DyAc 2 are designed to reduce motion blur and make enemy tracking easier during intense matches.

ZOWIE also discussed how competitive gaming is evolving. While traditional shooters like Counter-Strike often involve close-range engagements, battle royale titles such as Apex Legends, PUBG, and Fortnite require players to spot enemies at much greater distances. To address this, the company showcased visual tuning features like Color Vibrance and custom color filters that help make targets stand out more clearly.

At the end of the day, ZOWIE’s goal remains straightforward: help players focus on winning.

A Glimpse at the Future with 600Hz Displays (A Firsthand Look at 600Hz Gaming)

One of the most impressive demonstrations during the tour was BenQ’s 600Hz monitor technology. While the number alone sounds impressive, seeing it in person offered a better understanding of the motion clarity and smoothness such a high refresh rate can deliver.

Interestingly, BenQ noted that the difference is difficult to fully capture through photos or videos. According to the company, the experience is far more noticeable in person than what most cameras can accurately reproduce.

The company also revealed an upcoming NFC-based profile system inspired by feedback from professional players. Since software installation is often restricted during tournaments, the feature would allow players to save their preferred monitor settings to an NFC card and quickly load them onto supported displays during competitions.

Like many of the products showcased throughout the tour, the feature reflects BenQ’s approach of building solutions around real-world player needs.

Where Sports Science Meets Esports

BenQ also shared how its approach to gaming mouse development has evolved beyond relying solely on player feedback.

To better understand how hardware affects performance, the company established its Sports Science Lab in 2021. The initiative studies player movement, ergonomics, and other performance metrics, helping BenQ gather measurable data alongside feedback from professional players.

By combining both science and real-world experience, BenQ aims to develop gaming mice that deliver greater comfort, consistency, and performance for competitive players.

What It Means for Filipino Gamers

From MacBook-focused monitors and AI-powered gaming displays to 600Hz technology and esports peripherals, the tour showcased the many ways BenQ is pushing its products forward.

While the technologies on display varied widely, the company’s focus remained the same: combining display expertise with practical innovations that improve the experience for gamers, creators, and everyday users alike.

For Filipino gamers, many of the technologies showcased during the tour feel particularly relevant. As local esports continues to grow and more players invest in dedicated gaming setups, features such as better visibility, motion clarity, and long-term comfort are becoming just as important as raw performance. It’s a sign that the future of gaming hardware isn’t only about being faster, but also about creating a better overall experience.
