WEMADE has unveiled the new class “Rune Fighter” for its MMORPG Legend of YMIR, alongside the game’s official launch on Steam—marking a major step in its global expansion.
A Storm on the Battlefield: Meet the Rune Fighter
The Rune Fighter is a melee class built for speed and impact, combining swift mobility with heavy-hitting attacks. Armed with gauntlets and greaves, it thrives in close combat with a fast-paced mix of punches and kicks.
At the core of its kit is the signature skill, Barrier, which empowers allies while disrupting enemies—allowing players to take control of the battlefield in a highly strategic manner.
In PvE, Rune Fighter excels at area control and delivers reliable performance in boss encounters. In PvP, it excels at dictating the pace of battle through movement restriction and buff removal. The class is especially impactful in large-scale combat and clan wars, adding a new layer of tactical depth.
Steam Launch Expands Global Reach with Player-Focused Events
Legend of YMIR has also officially launched on Steam, bringing the game to a broader global PC audience.
The Steam version operates within its own dedicated region, featuring three exclusive servers that provide a stable and optimized gameplay environment for players worldwide.
To celebrate the launch, a range of Steam-exclusive events has been introduced to help new players get started quickly. Highlights include a Hero Valkyrie Selection Chest, a Noble Hero Disir Card, and Hero Companion Summon items—giving players a strong early-game boost.
Additional rewards, such as a full set of +7 enhanced gear and limited-time progression boosts, are also available to help players quickly build power and jump straight into the action.

On April 1, Legend of YMIR launched a large-scale out-of-home (OOH) campaign across Manila, Philippines. To celebrate, the official Philippine Facebook page is hosting a billboard photo event, inviting players to spot YMIR across the city, share their sightings, and earn a chance to win rewards.
The campaign is part of WEMADE’s ongoing efforts to engage players worldwide through localized, on-the-ground initiatives.
WEMADE plans to continue building on this momentum with the Rune Fighter update and Steam launch, delivering an expanded battlefield experience while continuing to grow its global player base.
