Wemade’s Norse-themed MMORPG Legend of YMIR is strengthening its connection with players in the Philippines. After its global launch on October 28, 2025, the game has continued to grow around the world.
Because of the strong support from Filipino players, Wemade will launch a new ‘Manila’ city server on March 10. The update will also include special content made for the local community.
Launch of the New ‘Manila’ City Server
Legend of YMIR names its servers after well-known cities across the globe. On March 10, the game will officially add Manila to that list.
This is the first time a Philippine city will appear in the game’s server network — this also shows how active Filipino players are in the YMIR community!
To celebrate the launch, Wemade will roll out more local support. With this, Wemade will also run marketing activities in the Philippines to improve the player experience.

Bringing Local Legends to Life: ‘Bakunawa’ and ‘Solis’
Wemade is currently developing exclusive in-game elements featuring iconic Philippine symbols to provide a more familiar and engaging experience for local players.
- New Disir ‘Bakunawa’: This new Disir is being designed based on the legendary sea serpent of Philippine mythology, crafted to embody the creature’s majestic and powerful presence.
- New Companion ‘Solis’: Players will also see a new companion inspired by the Philippine eagle, the country’s national bird
This collectible aims to give local players a stronger sense of representation in the game.
Strengthening Community Ties: Offline Events and Strategic Partnerships

Wemade will also host an offline community event in Manila this March. The event will give players a chance to meet, share feedback, and celebrate the game together.
In addition, Wemade plans to partner with several local brands and communities in the Philippines. These collaborations will bring special promos and marketing activities throughout the month.
“During the previous YMIR Cup, we saw how passionate our players are about deep and achievement-focused gameplay,” a Wemade representative said.
“The launch of the Manila server and our localized content are our way of thanking the Filipino community for their strong support. As we prepare for our 2026 Steam debut, we remain focused on creating meaningful experiences for players around the world.”
More details about the update will be shared on the Legend of YMIR Philippines Official Facebook Page.
